Do not give or take Maxigesic PE: - if you have a stomach ulcer - if you are allergic to paracetamol, ibuprofen, aspirin or other anti-inflammatory medicines - during the last 3 months of pregnancy - with other products containing paracetamol or ibuprofen - with other medicines intended to treat the symptoms of the common cold except on the advice of a healthcare professional Unless a doctor has told you to, do not give or take Maxigesic PE: - with other medicines you are taking regularly - if you have asthma - for more than a few days at a time - if you have kidney problems or impaired renal function - if trying to become pregnant, or during the first 6 months of pregnancy - if you are aged 65 years or over If you think you may have given/taken too much paracetamol, or an overdose ring the Poisons Information Centre on 0800 764 766 or go to a hospital straight away even if you feel well. The damaging effect on the liver can take time for your body to notice.
